Ian is a Fellow of the Institute of Operations Management, and has an honours degree in Management of Manufacturing Systems from University of Central England in Birmingham. He also holds several key qualifications in Lean and is a Six Sigma Champion and Black Belt. He is an experienced Manufacturing Consultant and Manager and has held a number of senior Manufacturing Positions within the Automotive Manufacturing sector.   

Prior to becoming a Manufacturing Consultant, Ian was heavy involved with both Toyota and in first tier supply, mainly involved with the development and improvement of Lean Manufacturing Systems and championing several change management programs.   

Ian has specific and successful experience in diagnosing and implementing manufacturing solutions to improve Productivity, Quality, Delivery and Morale in a wide range of manufacturing sectors including Automotive, Electrical Assembly, Machine Tools, General Assembly, and Aerospace.   

Ian also has a broad range of Quality Problem Solving and Operations/ Manufacturing Management experience with specific skills in Value Stream Mapping, Six Sigma and Lean System Development.
