Manufacturing Process

Six Sigma lies at the heart of PPM’s philosophy. More than analysis, this tool creates a measurement-based strategy for process improvement, which we see through to implementation and beyond.

Historically, Six Sigma has been used to drive improvements in manufacturing, but other sectors are now showing interest in the system’s potential. It has the capacity to streamline each aspect of your company’s operations, and to this end, we’ve introduced the approach to reduce defects and costs across a range of non-manufacturing industries.

Manufacturing processes also benefit from Visual Management - a set of applied visual aids to promote efficiency and waste reduction. The discipline of 5S/5C promotes further organisation of the workplace, encouraging teams to order their work environment in the safest, most efficient way possible. 5S relates to the demand for and function of each item in the workplace, and acts as the solid foundation of every Lean-thinking Organisation.

The final element in the cost management mix is Continuous Improvement which we embody through the principles of Kaizen. A keystone of sustainable waste elimination, Kaizen empowers many people to make relatively small but positive changes within their area of expertise.
